Two Cedars is a small residential care home offering holistic care in a homely environment.

Built in 1908, it is situated in the village of Broadstone, Dorset. Broadstone offers good shopping and recreational facilities, general practitioners, dental surgeries and a library. Wimborne and Poole are both only three miles away.
Two Cedars has seventeen furnished, comfortable bedrooms, all of which are above the National Minimum Standards in size. Accommodation and care is provided for male and female residents aged 65 years and over.
Rooms and accommodation
Two Cedars has seventeen furnished bedrooms, all above the National Minimum Standards in size. They are freshly decorated, clean, well heated and ventilated, and each has en-suite washing and toilet facilities.
Every room has a lockable door, a 24-hour call system, and TV and telephone access. Residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with their own belongings.
A lift provides access from the ground floor to the first floor, and residents can be accompanied by staff when using the lift if they wish.
Lounge and gardens
Two Cedars has a spacious lounge with patio doors and easy access leading to a large secluded patio, enhanced by a mature magnolia tree. The patio opens onto half an acre of mature gardens with flowerbeds, available for the use of residents and their visitors.
The lounge is the meeting place for morning coffee, afternoon tea, and the varied programme of activities and entertainment. Forthcoming social and recreational events are displayed on the residents’ notice board in the hall.
Dining
A communal dining room is available, and residents have the option of eating with others at mealtimes or having meals in their rooms.
A fully nutritional choice of menu is provided consisting of three meals a day, with snacks and a choice of drinks available at any time. Alternative menu choices are available and special diets are catered for.
On Sundays, residents meet in the lounge before lunch for a glass of sherry and a chat with managers, staff and visitors.
Awards and accreditation
Two Cedars achieved the Investors in People Award in 2010 and was awarded Gold Status in 2018.
Features and Facilities
Experienced and Qualified Staff
All our staffs are trained and qualified at Levels 3 and 4, with care assistants supported to achieve Level 2. Staff attend regular training to keep up to date with the latest standards for best practice.
Visiting hairdresser
A skilled hairdresser visits every Monday, and at other convenient times when needed, providing a professional service in the comfort of the home.
In the heart of Broadstone
Shops, a post office, doctors, dental surgeries and a library are all a short walk away, with Wimborne and Poole both only three miles distant.
Activities and entertainment
Our varied, person-centred activities promote wellbeing, independence, and social connection, encouraging residents to enjoy hobbies, stay active, and participate in meaningful experiences.
Spiritual care
The local Church of England vicar attends monthly to provide Holy Communion, and residents of other denominations are assisted to attend the church or place of prayer of their choice.
Half an acre of gardens
A secluded patio with a mature magnolia tree opens onto mature gardens with flowerbeds, for residents and their visitors to enjoy.
