Management

Two Cedars has been owned by Mrs Jean Williams since June 2000. Mrs Williams has been a Registered Nurse since 1967, working as a ward sister at Northampton General Hospital and has many years experience in Nursing Homes. Mrs Williams completed her Registered Managers Award in 2005.

Registered Manager The Registered Manager is Mrs Susan Wheatley who joined Two Cedars in 2006. Mrs Wheatley completed her Registered Manager Award in 2007 and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, Children's and Young People's Services in April 2016. Mrs Wheatley became Registered with the Care Quality Commission as the Registered Manager in January 2018.

Mrs Williams and Mrs Wheatley are supported by Mrs Annie Holder who is the Deputy Manager of Two Cedars. Mrs Holder has many years' experience working in Nursing and Residential Homes and is also Two Cedars Moving and Handler trainer. Mrs Holder joined Two Cedars in 2007 and continued her Professional Development, gaining her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Children's and Young People's Services in April 2016.

Mrs Holder became the Deputy Manager in January, 2018.

The Manager or Deputy is on call 24hrs a day.

Activities Co-ordinator

Lyn, our Activities Co-ordinator arranges a number of regular group activities in which residents can choose to participate.

Lyn also works closely with NAPA (National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People) www.napa-activities.co.uk

Support Staff

The staff team is led by senior care assistants who are all experienced in the care sector and have attained NVQ/QCF Accreditation at Level 3 and 4. The home's care assistants are supported to achieve NVQ/QCF Accreditation at Level 2. Two Cedars employs Pastoral Carers who support residents' daily choices.

The home is kept clean and welcoming by a team of 3 housekeepers. Meals are provided by our team of cooks who prepare and serve our varied and nutritious menu. Our cooks are supported by a team of kitchen assistants and juniors.

Staff attend regular training sessions on a variety of topics to keep them up to date with latest standards for best practice. Staff receive ongoing training relevant to the care they are providing.
