Registered Manager I have worked within the Health and Social Care sector since leaving school and have covered various roles from Kitchen Assistant to Registered Manager in Nursing and Residential Homes. During this time I have demonstrated my skills in providing safe, effective care for Residents in my care. I am a patient and compassionate person who strongly believes in encouraging Residents to remain in control of their choices and the care they receive. I am empathetic and sensitive to others emotions and will provide support where able. I have always enjoyed working within the Health and Social Care sector, even whilst raising my own family and now they are all grown I am in a position to commit myself fully to those I support.

During my employment in care settings, I have undertaken several courses which were both mandatory, and of interest personally, or for the benefit of the Residents. Prior to my employment at Two Cedars, I completed the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care in February 2007. I have completed my Level 4 & 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care, and am currently in the process of obtaining a Level 7 in Senior Leadership to provide me with underpinning knowledge. I am the Moving and Handler Trainer for Two Cedars which enables me to ensure Residents have their mobility needs sensitively and efficiently met. I believe I have the passion to support those within my care and am innovative and motivating to support the Home to continue to be a happy, safe and caring environment for Residents. I believe I have the necessary experience and competence to enable me to provide safe, efficient care for Residents and be a strong leader for the staff team. I have covered various roles within care homes and have worked my way up through the ranks and so am aware of aspects of each role from the ground up.

The Manager or Deputy is on call 24hrs a day.

Support Staff

The staff team is led by senior care assistants who are all experienced in the care sector and have attained NVQ/QCF Accreditation at Level 3 and 4. The home's care assistants are supported to achieve NVQ/QCF Accreditation at Level 2. Two Cedars employs Pastoral Carers who support residents' daily choices.

The home is kept clean and welcoming by a team of 3 housekeepers. Meals are provided by our team of cooks who prepare and serve our varied and nutritious menu. Our cooks are supported by a team of kitchen assistants and juniors.

Staff attend regular training sessions on a variety of topics to keep them up to date with latest standards for best practice. Staff receive ongoing training relevant to the care they are providing.
